Overview:
We are seeking an industrial sewing machine operator who is capable of production assembly for HRT. The primary responsibility is to sew medium and heavy-duty textile products by operation of an industrial sewing machine and the assembly of nylon gear via hydraulic press. A very detail-oriented individual who can accurately assemble products and maintain an accurate inventory is ideal. Compensation is based on skill level and experience starting at $17hr. Training will be provided at the company’s expense.
Responsibilities:
- Works alongside the Operation manager and design team to manufacture nylon goods.
- Produce sewn product by replication of a controlled reference sample.
- Set up sewing machine with proper thread, tension settings, and programmable operation settings as applicable.
- Ability to perform and maintain the equipment.
- Accurate recording of all materials used, in both document and electronic form, recording and verification of each process step.
- Assembling and packaging
- Sew products within established standards while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high degree of workmanship.
- Assemble components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications.
- Prepare and properly package items prior to shipment.
- Inspect material for conformance to specifications.
- Cleaning of production areas when required.
- Other roles and duties as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Detail oriented! (Demonstrate by telling us your favorite ice-cream flavor.)
- High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields a plus.
- Must be able to adapt to changing requirements in a positive and proactive way.
- Pleasant, professional etiquette.
- Reliable transportation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize time to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2nd amendment advocates highly preferred
- Prior military service or law-enforcement experience welcome
- Previous industry sewing experience is highly valued.
- Will train highly motivated individuals!
